Water Management at The Chateau
At Pourpry, all rainwater is collected in an underground tank (>100m3). This water is then distributed throughout the estate via a pump to ensure irrigation.
Subsequently, it is planned to replace this pump with a wind turbine and to create intermediate purification basins to make it consumable.
When we reach this stage, however, it will be impossible to distribute it into the drinking water network for regulatory reasons.
Dry toilets
At Pourpry, all our toilets are dry and made “in-house” from redesigned armchairs.
A unique opportunity to explain to children how important it is to recycle waste and how it allows us to give back to nature what it has given us.
For those who are wondering, they will be able to see that hygiene is respected and that there are no more side effects than with conventional toilets.
